How do I make an order?

  1. You must first apply for an Account. You can do this by going here and clicking “Register” underneath New Customer, or on the top right of the page.
  2. If you are an existing customer, head to our web store here, and log in or click the “Shop Now” button on our main site to access.
  3. Use the navigation menu (on the left-hand side on desktop, or under the three lines button on mobile) to browse the categories and find the product you’re looking for. Alternatively, use the search function.
  4. Once you have added all your items to the cart, click the “Cart” button (this will show the number of items you have in your cart at the top right). Follow the prompts to complete your order.

How do I check out?

  1. Head to your Shopping Cart on our Webstore.
  2. Select your delivery address. If you are picking up, choose one of the branches to collect from. If you are getting your order delivered, you can nominate your own courier.
  3. Select your billing address. Choose your payment method between Visa/Mastercard or your Account. Enter your order number or comments as required.
  4. Review your order details.
  5. Agree to the Terms and Conditions and hit “Confirm Order”.

Can I view the status of my order?

Yes, you can. Click on the “My Account” link in the menu on the web store, or “Login“. Under “My Orders”, click the “View my Orders” button. Here you will see the status of all your orders, pending or complete.

Can I amend my order after placing it online?

We can amend your order over the phone. Please contact us immediately.

When will I receive my order?

Orders are usually dispatched the next business day. However, for larger orders, this may not always be possible. We endeavour to dispatch orders as fast as possible.

Can I track my order?

Yes, you will receive an email with your invoice and tracking number once your order has been dispatched.

I forgot my password

On the Login page, click the “Forgot Password” button. Enter the email address of your account and click “Send Me a Password Reset Email”.

A password reset email should arrive in your inbox. This will contain a temporary password for you to access your account. We recommend you change your password to a term you’ll remember, that contains both uppercase and lowercase, numbers and symbols for security.

Can I place an order quickly?

Yes. You can place a quick order by using Taipan part numbers and clicking on the link in the top menu bar “Express Order”. Simply type in the part number and order quantity and add it to your order list, then when complete, add your list to your shopping cart and check out.

Can I upload an order to your site?

Yes, you can upload a CSV (Comma Delimited) file to our website. It will need to contain in Column A the Taipan part number, and in Column B, your order quantity. You can do this under the “My Account” page, by clicking “Upload Order CSV“.

How do I view an invoice?

First, you need to ensure you have logged into your account. Once done, click the “My Account” link in the menu, then click “View Invoices”.

How do I print an invoice?

First, check that you are logged into your account. Once done, click the “My Account” link in the menu, then click “View Invoices”. To select an invoice, click the blue invoice number to open this up. Click the Print button in your browser toolbar, or alternatively hit Control + P (for PC) or Command + P (for Mac) on your keyboard.

Can I pay my account online?

Unfortunately, no, you can’t at this stage.

Who has access to my online account?

Only the person(s) that initially registered the account, or those you have shared your account details with. Never share your login information or passwords with anybody outside of your organisation.

Taipan’s Customer Relations Managers and System Administrators also have access to your account. This is for general account maintenance such as editing your contact details or if assistance by the account owner is requested.

How do I change my account details?

First, you need to be logged into your online account. Once done, click the “My Account” tab on the menu.

To change your personal details, click “View or Change my Account Information” (while on the My Account screen).

To change your delivery or billing addresses, click the “View or Change Entries on My Address Book”.

Please note: that any changes made on your online account will not affect your trading account. If a change needs to be made, please contact us to advise of the changes.

Can I block others from accessing my account?

Yes, you can! The best way to restrict access to others is by changing the password. Your account will only be as secure as what you allow, if others are ordering on your account, it is not the responsibility of Taipan to monitor who is ordering from the site – Remember when handing out account details, those with access will be able to change all details in your account except for who the transactions will be charged to – YOU! Taipan will have access to your account regardless of your password for the sole purpose of helping you manage your account.

My login is not working

If you find that your login is not working, please use the “Forgot Password” button on the login page. Check with any other people who have access to your account if they have changed the password. If you are still unable to log in, please contact us immediately.

I cannot view files downloaded from this site

We use two file types to download content. The file extensions used are .pdf and .xlsx (Microsoft Excel).  To be able to view .pdf documents you need to install a PDF reader, we recommend Adobe PDF Reader/Adobe Acrobat. To view the .xlsx files you need to install Microsoft Excel 2007 or later.

What if I have found an error on the site?

If you have found an error on this website, please contact our Marketing team.

Who is responsible for my account?

Primarily you are responsible for your account, the dissemination of your online account details should be kept to a minimum and restricted to those who work within your organisation. Taipan cannot be held responsible for any charges incurred to your account through the website. If you feel that your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately.
