Global Warming

In the beginning, sea creatures dominated the landscape. The vast open plains of Australia were a playground for sea farers of all shapes and sizes.

Man came and tamed the sea, installing large fans at the ends of the Earth to cage the water and cool it until it was so cold it froze in time. Two hundred million years on, and the sea is silently escaping its eternal confines to once again bask in its glory as ruler.

Unbeknownst to the sea, an unlikely adversary stands in its path. Woman, a descendant of Man, is now rising to take on the challenge of the sea’s might.

One such woman is Amy Sandilands, Managing Director of Taipan Hydraulic Hose Systems. Aware of the sea’s plot, Amy devises a cunning plan. She introduces Taipan’s indestructible Xtreme hose range into the Australian mining industry and urges Mine Managers to dig as furiously and as deep as they dare.

Cogs, chains, engines and tyres wear to their very limit, but the Taipan Xtreme range marches on.

Vast machine-made canyons scatter the landscape. Amy sends the drill rigs to the very bottom of each canyon and installs Taipan’s ultra-high temperature hose on the augers as they bore their way to the center of the Earth.

The sea launches its assault. It sends a trickle into the first canyon, then the next and the next. Thinking it has conquered, the sea lets out a roar of victory as a flood of water fills the bottom of every canyon. To its shock, the water enters the drill holes and falls to its death, the heat of the Earth’s core turns it to steam. Australia is saved, the world is introduced to Taipan’s Xtreme product range, and Amy heads back to her office. Upon her return, she finds a letter from the President of the United States.

Aliens are coming, Amy. We need your help, it reads. Can you save us?

Amy takes out her pen. Yes sir, Mr. President!
