PRICE UPDATE – OCTOBER 1st, 2024  

You may be wondering why another price increase when previously as a supplier we hadn’t had one for a number of years. It’s extremely important to us that we are up-front and honest, especially when it comes to pricing and what triggers an increase in product costs.    

As we explained last year, there are two major reasons that cause us to re-evaluate our pricing:    

  • The manufacturers have had or are having an increase. 
  • The exchange rate between the Australian Dollar and foreign currency.  

Although our manufacturers haven’t raised their prices in the past 12 months, the Australian dollars performance is still far below expectation on which we based last year’s increase. Therefore, in effect we underestimated last year. 

So unfortunately, effective from October 1st, 2024, Taipan products will increase by 4%.

COASTREK 2024

Back for another year of fun and certainly set to test some of our team’s health and fitness, we have four eager team members ready to get their heart beats racing in the challenge to walk 50kms for a very deserving cause.  

This year marks Taipan’s third anniversary, supporting Coastreks chosen charity. Each year the cause rotates, helping to raise money for those in need. The 2024 charity donations will head to the Heart Foundation to help end heart disease and we couldn’t be keener to get involved! 

With two new contenders joining our regular crew, Bev and Pauline may not know just what they have gotten themselves into, but our regulars Allan and Amy will be sure to show them the ropes. Starting in Mooloolaba and stretching all the way up to Noosa, the team have set a challenge to complete the course in 11 hours. Joined by over 11,000 others, the 19th of July will be a day to remember!
