Let's Talk Reflecting on 2024: A Year of Growth and Achievements!
With the end of the year just around the corner, it’s a good time to stop and take a look back. Did we kick the goals we set? Was it everything we thought it would be?
With some big targets in place and massive shoes to fill, my first year as Managing Director has been a wild, exciting ride. I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve achieved together as a team. So, what made this year one to remember?
Kicking Goals and Ticking Boxes
- ISO 9001 Certification
We started the year by tackling a big one, achieving ISO 9001 certification. It’s something we’ve had on the to-do list for a while, and getting it done was a huge win. It’s all about keeping our standards high and showing our customers we’re serious about quality.
- Expanding Our Space
This year, we took the leap and purchased additional building space just 150 metres from Head Office, which brings us to a whopping 11,000 square metres of space altogether. With so much product coming through the doors, this has been a massive help, as it’s been pretty squeezy prior. From where we started to where we are now, it’s hard to believe how far we’ve come.
- Our Dedicated Testing Facility
With an additional 4,000m² of space, we’ve begun constructing a recognized testing facility. This is a significant milestone for the team, as it was one of the goals we set when I stepped into the MD role. It’s exciting to see it take shape and the possibilities it will open up for the future.
The People Behind the Progress
None of this would have been possible without the amazing team we have at Taipan. Whether it’s the warehouse crew, the office staff, or the team out in the field, everyone’s played a part in making 2024 such a great year.
What I love most is how everyone shows up and supports each other. It’s awesome to work with such a passionate, committed bunch all working towards the same goals.
Navigating the Challenges
Let’s be real, 2024 wasn’t all smooth sailing. We faced some pretty big challenges, from supply chain issues to a market that’s constantly shifting. But as always, the team rose to the occasion. We faced everything head-on and came out stronger for it.
What’s Next?
As the year wraps up, I’m so pumped for what’s ahead. 2024 was huge, but 2025 is shaping up to be even bigger. We’ve got new facilities, new capabilities, and some seriously exciting goals to smash.

Taipan headed to four field days all around the country this year – it was great to see the enthusiasm and meet some of the awesome people from each local community.
Adelaide branch at it’s inception takes us back to the excitement of a new location being opened. Will there be another for 2025?
