Taipan’s Commitment to Safety
Our Safety Policy
Our Safety Policy
Taipan is committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace for employees and visitors. We proactively identify and assess risks, implement effective control measures, and draw on past experiences to drive continuous improvement. Our occupational health and safety objectives are developed through a risk-based approach, aiming to reduce the likelihood and severity of incidents while improving the detection of potential hazards. All policies, procedures, and work instructions are aligned with these objectives and provide clear guidance to ensure that safety is embedded in every aspect of our operations.
Our Commitment
Taipan maintains and continually improves a range of measures to foster a safe and healthy workplace. We engage with staff through consultation and participation to ensure practical input into our safety systems, while adhering to all applicable legal requirements, standards, and regulations, including ISO 45001:2018 and SafeWork Australia guidelines.
We demonstrate best practice in workplace safety, with quarterly OH&S meetings, qualified First Aid responders and trained Mental Health First Aiders at each branch, and an Employee Assistance Program available to all staff. Our OH&S Management System establishes the framework to manage risks effectively and supports our objectives for a safer and healthier workplace.
Conclusion
Taipan is committed to full regulatory compliance and to cultivating a workplace culture where health and safety are a shared responsibility. We encourage all staff to minimise hazards, report incidents and unsafe conditions promptly, and participate actively in improving workplace safety. Through ongoing monitoring, review, and enhancement of our systems, Taipan strives to continuously strengthen our safety practices and maintain a safe, healthy, and resilient workplace for everyone.
