How do we do this?
Taipan’s Research and Development department rigorously tests our hose systems using advanced equipment, including the Bimal BI701K Impulse Tester and the Bimal BPS40D Burst Tester. This comprehensive in-house testing ensures that our products meet the highest standards and are capable of withstanding the challenging conditions prevalent in our country.

Burst & Impulse Testing
Our Research and Development team rigorously tests hose systems with our Bimal Burst and Impulse Tester machines. Through impulse testing, Taipan qualifies and establishes a matched system. Our hose assemblies undergo impulse and burst tests that exceed normal operating parameters.
This ensures our products meet the demanding conditions of Australia and our customers’ high expectations.
Taipan hose meets or exceeds Australian and International Standards ISO6805, ISO18752, SAEJ517, EN85a3, EN856 and EN857.
Reputable third parties – such as Lloyd’s, Mine Safety & Health Administration and Mines Australia – also certify our hose independently (copies of third-party certifications are available on request).
Made in-house at each of our five branches, using high-quality equipment and shipped Australia-wide Monday to Friday.
Our Matched Systems are established by burst/impulse test machines to ensure conditions and compliances are met.
Taipan’s world-class hose assembly workshops are operated by a fully-trained team that is efficient and accurate, reducing wait times.
