Have you ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes at Taipan? Thanks to the new monthly ‘Hose Down’, we’re giving you the opportunity to take a sneak peek behind the curtain at what our team has been up to lately!
Cracker Christmas
December is always a cracker of a time with Christmas parties, Christmas lunches and so many shenanigans. And here at Taipan… we did it all! Our teams got together to celebrate the awesome year that was with Christmas parties where we cruised the Brisbane River, tried axe throwing, Escape Rooms and Smash Rooms. Turns out the Melbourne team has some serious unleashed rage! 😂
On another note, did somebody say food? We are still in a food coma thinking about it! One of the best days on the Taipan calendar is the staff last day Christmas lunch and it did not disappoint. There was amazing food, festive dress-ups, Allan’s Christmas speech and plenty of fun and laughter. Check out some of the hilarious Christmas outfits that were put together.
Aussie Day
Always fun to put down the tools, dress in your Aussie best, grab a snag off the barbie and compete in the thong-throwing comp! Who needs beach cricket when the name of the game is who can get the thong into the bucket? And what a competitive bunch of thong throwers we had.
Allan and Kelly win over in Caboolture, while Maddie from Rocklea took the thong home there, Armand was crowned King thrower in Adelaide, Luke took the top spot in Melbourne, and Aaron had the best arm from Perth.
Each of these guys hit the bullseye and was crowned (or should we say Akubra’ed) the thong-throwing champion for 2024. Til next year!

Time flies when you’re having fun, so saddle up and come on the ride with us as we look forward to all of the adventures 2024 has in store.
