Welcome to the October edition of the ‘Hose Down’! This month’s highlights are packed with field day shenanigans and other behind-the-scenes adventures. Here’s a look at what’s been happening around Taipan:
Henty Field Days
Big news – we just celebrated our sixth Henty anniversary! The team had a tonne of fun meeting and chatting with the locals and giving out some quality Taipan merch at what is now regarded as southern Australia’s single largest agricultural event (Go Henty!).
What were their highlights? Moo-Baa-Cluck! We thought they may have spent a little too much time in the sun, but nope. Moo-Baa-Cluck is a legit food vendor who made a drool-worthy chicken burger, so shout out to you guys! But as good as the food was, adorable baby alpaca Tiny Tom, and goats Tweedledee and Tweedledum, couldn’t be split and finished as a three-way tie for ultimate Henty highlight. Thanks for the memories, Henty! Same time next year?
Taipan Team Travels
Our team have been wandering all over this beautiful country this month, probably leaving a trail of good vibes and great stories!
Joe from Sales ventured to Far North Queensland and visited customers in Cairns, Mareeba, Atherton, Innisfail, Ingham, Cardwell, Charters and Townsville. We’d like to say he came back rocking a great suntan, but anyone who knows Joe, knows he would be wearing his new Taipan Trucker Cap!
Ian from Sales took a trip to the West and had a ball in Northern WA, stopping by Kununurra, Lake Argyle, Halls Creek, Derby, and Broome. Sadly, that was Ian’s last trip, he’s sailing off into the sunset… retirement!
Our amazing IT Assistant Tom made his first trip to Perth, helping the Branch by day and scaling rock faces by night. His highlight? Watching the sunset over the ocean. Who knew the East Coast was missing out on such a view!
To round things off, Alex, our National Sales Manager, swung by HQ in Queensland, while Amy and Neil went bush to Moranbah and Mackay.
So, where will the Taipan team adventure to next month?
Countdown to Christmas at Taipan!
October is here, and we’re not just sipping pumpkin spice lattes, we’re jumping into the holiday fun with both feet!
The Taipan Christmas video is in production, and we can’t wait to show you! Christmas parties are in the planning stage for every branch. We’ll be spreading the joy with a little mystery gift-giving with Secret Santa and our favourite day of the year when it’s all about great food, good company, and a whole lot of laughter with our Christmas lunch.
As for the Christmas tree… is it too early to start draping the tinsel as we sing Jingle All the Way?
