Tracking orders
Did you know that you can actually keep tabs on most of your orders once they’re out the door? Yep, when it comes to road freight carriers and airbags, most of them offer tracking options. Taipan already puts your freight tracking number (if there’s one) on your invoices, but what you may not know is that you can also opt for an easy-peasy tracking button through our freight broker TIG. That way, there is no need to type in those long tracking numbers! Not every carrier has this feature, but a good chunk of them do, so it’s definitely worth giving it a shot!

stock update
Welcome to another stock update. As you can see from the graph, as manufacturer lead times continue to improve and shipment dates shorten, stock holdings have now seemingly returned to as close to normal as we feel they are going to get.
Stock on order is dropping because manufacturers’ increase in capabilities is seeing them searching for work. It will be interesting to watch over the next few months as manufacturers face a new kind of challenge. One they haven’t faced in a few years and that is how to keep all those new machines going flat out. We are already seeing the signs as their delegates schedule visits to secure work in the future.
There are always going to be anomalies, but overall stock is looking solid for the foreseeable future.
