THE HOSE DOWN
NOVEMBER 2024

The Monthly Wrap-Up

Welcome to the November edition of the ‘Hose Down’! This month’s highlights are packed with field day shenanigans and other behind-the-scenes adventures. Here’s a look at what’s been happening around Taipan:

Halloween Dress Up

It feels like only yesterday we were trickin’ and treatin’ at our Halloween Dress Up day… probably ’cause it was! From downright spooky getups to slightly quirkier ‘fits, the entire spectrum of Halloween spirit was on full display. You love to see it! Unless you have a blood phobia, in which case you definitely do not love to see it.

Amy & Al Tackle Asia

We’re told it’s a “work trip”, but we’ve read their itinerary, and we’re not convinced. Besides, it’s their last international trip as Taipan’s dynamic duo – you best believe they’re going out in style!

You name it, they’re doing it: visiting suppliers, touring facilities, reenacting that one scene from The Karate Kid on the Great Wall of China (the million-dollar question: who’s Mr. Miyagi in this scenario?). Somebody call a doctor, we’ve got a serious case of FOMO! We can’t wait to hear all about it when you get back, guys!

Footy Tipping Glory

You won’t hear us admit it aloud ‘cause we’re in complete denial, but AFL and NRL footy is done for 2024. It’s a good thing we’re an interesting bunch and our water cooler banter contains multitudes.

Anyway, while we endure an agonising pre-season that mostly involves becoming armchair experts on the cricket, we can also reveal our Taipan Tipping champion!

Luke from Melbourne’s done us a solid and saved us the trouble of typing out two names, claiming top spot on both the AFL & NRL ladders. You’re in a league of your own, Luke – that’s why we’re petitioning to have you removed from the comp next year. The price of success, hey?

Perth branch goes all out with their costumes! Though we aren’t sure what Mal is supposed to be with that orange suit…

Amy and Al fly to Korea to visit some suppliers and snap this beautiful photo of the city!

Luke showing off his (definitely not Photoshopped in) trophy to celebrate his double win!
